Let's just call this the "Dave is a Contractor" Trip!   Here he surveys the falls and tells us it's dimensions from afar.

Indeed, we had the most excellent weather as we hiked out along the South Rim Trail to the Stagecoach campsite.

Here Grady is stopped by the contractor to see if the dimensions on the bridge will support his pack weight.

This is part of the water that made the falls that went into the house that Dave built.

Here, Contractor Dave considers building a stairway to Heaven.

After gathering all the firewood, Grady decides that he is tired of  Sally giving all the orders and  says, "turn that camera off for a minute, I'm a getting ready to whip me a contractor's hind end, ay gosh!"

This was as close as Contractor Sally would allow me to stand.

How about that?

Savage, isn't it?

Trail Stats:  7 Miles out the South Rim Trail to Stagecoach Campsite, same route back.  Did I mention that someone did a little night recon mission and Grady enjoyed his new tent?
