The Southern contingency was first on the mountain and last off the mountain.  That in itself is cause for song.  No need for permission for these married guys.

Martin and Ab and Kirby spot a boar rooting in the heath bald.

They quickly realize it is the Brush Swine.

 

 

The water fetchers prepare for departure down Deep Creek.  They are dispatched with a blessing by Gob and Ethel.

We were concerned that Ricky Bobby would disappoint his sponsor, Gobbie.  He arrived in the nick of time.

Bobby presents his admission ticket to the big show.

 

The DV president finally arrives so the proceedings may begin.

Master of Ceremonies Larry fills in last minute for no show Elwood and does an exceptional job overseeing the proceedings.

First is the war dance. 

Gobbie has to help his boy a little.  We think he had a problem with the war dance until Gobbie adjusted his Tom Tom.

  Then came the question and answer session.  Here, Gob poses a tough one for CJ.

Grady answers the questions posed by a Highlander and impresses the group with his belligerence.

Highlanders are a spiritual bunch.  We often cure depression through song and dance. Here, Bobby represents team Cream O (aka Gobster Nation)

When it is all said and done, the newest Highlanders have prevailed through their rituals and are inducted into the Highlander Fold with open arms.  Congratulations to the Newbies for your outstanding performances and great sportsmanship.  Now go fetch me some water.

And so the sun sets on a record setting 25 years of Highlander Nation.  An attendance record is set at 22, the largest initiate class was inducted and we even had a Danno and Elwood late night visit.
