BOOKS
  • Go to Destiny, the library's online catalog, and construct a Boolean search expression (see pink box, above right).
  • A Keyword search will locate your keywords anywhere in the record (title, description, subject listings): george AND washington
  • A Subject search is like a tagged picture in facebook -- a librarian has tagged this book with the keywords you enter in the search box: washington. (Make sure to select the Browse tab on the screen that follows.)
  • Call numbers beginning with J are in the Lower School Library.
  • Call numbers beginning with "BIO" are biographies and are shelved separately, to the right of the reference section.

ENCYCLOPEDIA ARTICLES
  • To find an encyclopedia article about your person, go to Destiny and conduct a Keyword search using one of these Boolean expression:

  • For general biographical encyclopedias, go to the REF 920 area of the reference section.
