CONTENT & ANALYSIS
Encyclopedia Britannica Online
Start with a global search. Remembering that less is more and using quotation marks, enter something like this: "congress of vienna" or "france" or "tsar alexander." Peruse the article, and (1) follow hyperlinked words in the text or (2) look at the menu bar on the left and use the expand icon [+] to find chapters that relate to your part of the assignment.
History Resource Center: World
Again, start with a broad topic. Use the menu at the left to drill down through the list of subtopics, and use the tabs across the top to locate different types of resources.

Images From the Internet

To find images for your presentation from authoritative and credible sources, try limiting your Google Image search to specific domains (governments, educational institutions). In front of your search terms, add the following text:

site:edu    site:gov   site:org
(NOTE no space after colon)
Some examples:

site:edu "congress of vienna"
site:gov talleyrand
site:org "tsar alexander"

A website that people from all over the world use to upload photographs they have taken. Go to the Advanced Search page, and (1) enter a search word or two in the "Search for" box, and then (2) scroll all the way down, and check the "Only search within Creative Commons-licensed content" box. That will limit your search to copyright-free images. Some examples:

vienna
"tsar alexander"
